Consultations are free, and there is often time to start treatment the same visit.
It’s the only thing we do. We measure the ink, not the box around it, so you pay for the tattoo and nothing else — $99 for the first square inch, consultation free.
Removal takes time, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Here is exactly what happens, start to finish.
We measure the ink, price it on the spot, and talk through how many treatments it is likely to take. There is often time to start the same visit.
The laser itself takes a few minutes, with chilled air running the whole time. Five weeks between the first ones, moving to six and then eight as you go.
A photo is taken at every appointment, so you can see what has faded and what is left instead of guessing between visits.
Amateur and homemade work can clear in two to five treatments. Professional multi-color pieces usually run five to twelve.
Whatever it says, whoever did it, however long you’ve had it — come in and we’ll tell you exactly what it takes to get it off.
Most places measure a rectangle around your tattoo and bill you for the bare skin inside it. We measure on a grid and count only the squares your ink touches.
Then $49 for each additional square inch, up to six.
Measured as a box, empty middle included.
Measured as ink, the way we do it.
Same tattoo, half the billable area. On outlines, script and scattered work the gap is often wider than this.
Teardrops, three to five dots on a hand, and rings.
Cash, check or credit card.
Ask at the clinic or over the phone.

Every one of these is a real client, with the tattoo’s age, its size, what each treatment cost and how many it took. One cleared in two. One took twelve. Both are here.

Ink doesn’t all come off under the same light. Black lifts under one kind, reds and yellows under another, and blues and greens need a third. The Toro carries all three, so no color has to get left behind.
Most clinics own a machine that does the first one only. That is why some of them turn you away when your tattoo has green in it, and why people come here after starting somewhere else.
Round beams overlap as the laser moves across skin, and those overlaps are hot spots — they are what blisters and scars people. The Toro fires a square spot, which tiles edge to edge and lands the energy evenly.
Chilled air runs over the skin the whole time the laser is working. Most people describe the sensation as a rubber band snapped against the arm.
We test a small spot at your consultation to see how your skin responds before treating the rest of it.

Ryan was very professional and explained the tattoo removal process very well, as well as the aftercare. The office was very well decorated and super clean. I highly recommend going to see Ryan at Ink Blasters for your tattoo removal.

Ryan Wright spent his shifts in the burn unit at Detroit Receiving before opening this clinic — trauma patients, wound care, skin at its worst. He knows what skin does under stress, which is most of the job when you are putting a laser on it.
Removal is the only thing done here. No facials, no injectables, no rotating staff and no upsell to a service you did not come in for. One room, one machine, one person running it.
Radiation markers left behind by breast cancer treatment are removed free. They are small, permanent and nobody chose them.
Removal is priced by the number of solid square inches of ink. We measure on a grid at your consultation, counting only the squares the ink actually touches — most clinics measure the whole rectangle around a tattoo and bill you for the bare skin inside it. $99 for the first square inch, then $49 for each additional square inch up to six. Tattoos between six and ten square inches are $344. Anything over ten square inches is priced at your free consultation. Teardrops, three to five dots on a hand, and rings are $49. These are per-treatment prices, not the cost of a full removal. Military, law enforcement, fire protection and minors under 18 receive 20% off.

It stings. Most people compare it to an elastic band snapped against the skin. A cooling system runs chilled air over the area the whole time the laser is working, which takes the edge off considerably. Topical anesthetic is available for $30 a tube if you would rather have it.
It depends on size, color and how deep the ink was put in. An amateur or homemade tattoo may only need two to five treatments. A professional multi-color piece usually runs five to twelve, sometimes more. You will get a realistic number at your consultation rather than a guess.
The great majority respond, whether professionally done or homemade. Green, orange and yellow are more stubborn than other pigments, but even those typically respond given enough treatments. Being able to treat a full spectrum of colors is a large part of what separates this clinic from ones running older, single-wavelength equipment.
There are no bandages. Expect swelling and redness for 24 to 72 hours, and skin that feels like a mild sunburn. Older removal technology left people bandaged for one to three weeks after every session. That is no longer how this works.

Off Pembroke between Newburgh and Levan, about twenty minutes from downtown Detroit and ten from Livonia city center.
Appointments outside these hours can usually be arranged — call and ask. Closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, and Christmas.
People travel here for this, and we can arrange pick-up and drop-off at Detroit Metro. Allow around six hours between landing and your departure time — that covers the drive in, one treatment, and the run back to the airport.
Tell us roughly what we are looking at and we will get back to you to fix a time. Or call — someone actually answers the phone.
BBA, BSN, RN — he does the consult and every treatment himself.
Military, law enforcement, fire protection, and anyone under 18 with a parent. Mention it when you book — it comes off every single session, not just the first.
The consultation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We measure the tattoo, give you the price and a realistic number of treatments, and answer whatever you want to ask. There is usually time to start the same visit if you want to.
